    Rubber Pipe

Our Rubber Pipe is a flexible, durable conveying component tailored for dredging systems. Made of high-wear, corrosion-resistant rubber materials, it efficiently transports slurry, sand, and sediment while adapting to vessel vibrations and angle adjustments. Compliant with marine engineering standards, it delivers leak-proof, long-lasting performance for port, river, and coastal dredging projects.

We provide a full range of Dredging rubber hoses to meet the requirements of various projects and vessels.

Diameter Range

We can produce large-diameter Dredging Hoses with nominal inner diameters ranging from DN150 (6 inches) to DN1300 (52 inches).

Common Specifications: DN200(8"), DN250(10"), DN300(12"), DN350(14"), DN400(16"), DN450(18"), DN500(20"), DN600(24"), DN700(28"), DN800(32"), etc.

Pressure Ratings

Depending on the project's transmission distance and pump pressure, we offer different pressure resistance levels.

Working pressure range covers 0.5 MPa to 2.5 MPa (5 bar to 25 bar).

Length

Standard lengths are typically 6 meters, 10 meters, or 12 meters, but can be customized according to customer requirements.

Flange Standards

We can supply rotating or fixed steel flanges compliant with GB (Chinese), EN (European), ANSI (American), and JIS (Japanese) standards.

Key Technical Features

Wear-Resistant Inner Liner: Made from high-quality wear-resistant rubber with a formula similar to tire tread rubber. It has a high abrasion index to effectively resist long-term scouring by sand and gravel. Some products feature a double-layer wear-resistant inner liner.

Reinforcement Layer: Uses multi-layer winding of high-strength synthetic fiber cord fabric (e.g., D3 cord). For instance, 10 layers of cord reinforcement ensure excellent toughness and bending performance while maintaining pressure resistance.

High Toughness & Resilience: Unlike sand-suction hoses with steel wire skeletons, flanged dredging hoses do not have a steel wire reinforcement layer. This design allows them to quickly rebound to their original shape after being impacted by waves or accidentally bent, ensuring safety and continuity in offshore operations.

Strict Manufacturing Process: The production of large-diameter dredging hoses requires high technical standards and skilled workers to ensure stable and reliable product quality.

Dredging Rubber Hose Classification & Application

Classification by Function

This is the core classification method, determining whether the hose is used for "suction" or "discharge," and its location on the vessel.

Suction Hose

Application: Connects to the inlet of the Dredge Pump to extract slurry from the riverbed or seabed.

Technical Features: Must withstand high vacuum negative pressure. The hose body typically features an internal spiral steel wire or steel ring reinforcement to prevent collapse under strong suction.

Discharge Hose

Application: Connects to the outlet of the dredge pump to transport slurry under high pressure to the Reclamation area.

Technical Features: Must withstand high positive pressure and severe scouring from the medium. The focus is on the tensile strength of the reinforcement layer and the wear/corrosion resistance of the cover.

Classification by Installation & Buoyancy

This determines whether the hose floats on the surface or sinks.

Floating Hose

Application: Used for surface pipelines, connecting the vessel to the shore or underwater pipelines.

Technical Features: The hose body is encased in or filled with buoyancy materials (such as foam or rubber floats) to provide sufficient buoyancy to keep the line afloat.

Submerged Hose

Application: Used underwater, serving as a connection between floating lines and shore pipelines.

Technical Features: Contains no buoyancy material. It has a heavier self-weight and a thicker cover layer, offering superior resistance to seabed abrasion and corrosion.

Classification by Structure

This determines the connection method and specific use cases.

Flanged Dredging Hose

Application: Acts as a "flexible connection" in the pipeline system, connecting Steel Pipes, PE pipes, or dredger outlets.

Technical Features: Equipped with steel flanges (fixed or rotating) at both ends for easy installation and removal. It accommodates a certain degree of bending to reduce sway caused by waves.

Armored Hose

Application: Used in extreme abrasive conditions involving shells, coral, or rock fragments.

Technical Features: The inner liner is embedded with high-strength steel rings or special wear-resistant layers, providing excellent impact and abrasion resistance.

Bow Discharge Hose

Application: Specifically designed for the bow loading system of Trailing Suction Hopper Dredgers (TSHD).

Technical Features: Designed to adapt to complex movements and angle changes between the hull and external pipelines.
